Synopsis: Raised in Chicago, 17-year-old orphan Nick sets out to find his father. Despite missing one hand, he gets a job working for a small logging town's lumber company. Nick soon falls in love with local girl Angelica, who wants to prevent the Limberlost forest from being chopped down. As he begins spending more time in the woods, the urban teenager discovers the wonders of nature and decides to fight for conservation.
