Synopsis: Outlaw Billy the Kid runs afoul of two cattlemen, Tunston and McSween, who consider hanging him, but then invite him to join their gang instead. Billy grows fond of Tunston and his fiancée, Claire, and is happy to go straight. When Tunston is killed for refusing orders by the territory boss to depart, Billy seeks violent revenge for Claire. At the same time, he discovers that he must also contend with determined pursuit of Sheriff Pat Garrett.
