Synopsis: After World War II, soldier John Lawrence can finally return home and marry his waiting girlfriend, Mary McKinley. But Lawrence is already married: As a favor to his friend, Fred Taylor, who saved his life during the war, Lawrence wed Taylor's English fling, Lilly Herbish, to circumvent immigration laws to reunite the two. There's another problem: Having been home for two years, Taylor is also already married.
