Synopsis: "Topsy-Turvy" director Mike Leigh returns to familiar ground--contemporary working-class England--with this drama. The hope-drained day-to-day lives of a South London family--a cab driver (Timothy Spall), his common-law wife (Lesley Manville), seniors home worker daughter (Alison Garland), and unemployed layabout son (James Corden)--are thrown into turmoil by a tragedy that tests their dormant emotional bonds.
