Cities of the World Jordan
Jordan is a peaceful oasis in the turmoil of the Middle East. As one of the cradles of humancivilization and a part of the Holy Land, Jordan has such invaluable monuments as the Romancity of Jerash, or the mystical capital of the Nabateans, the marvellous Petra, the city carvedfrom red stone. Moses also lies here, but apart from that, one cannot forget the mosaics ofMadaba, the national park of Dana, the hot waterfalls of Wadi Zarka and the 70 kilometerslong coast of the Dead Sea. The capital, Amman, and Aqaba, which lies on the coast of theMediterranean See, are real eastern cities with their mosques and bazaars, while the WadiRum with is wonderful stone arches and the Red Desert offer the tourists different kinds ofexperience from off road jeep tours to camel trips and Bedouin camps.
