Synopsis: The squabbling, dysfunctional, blue-collar Harper clan provides plenty of laughs in the first season of this long-running 1980s sitcom. When sharp-tongued Thelma "Mama" Harper (Vicki Lawrence) and her spinster sister, Fran (Rue McClanahan), open up their home to Thelma's recently divorced son, Vinton (Ken Berry), and his two teenagers (Eric Brown and Karin Argoud), life's about to get a bit bumpier for everyone.
