Are You a Horse?
Despite his cowboy boots and ten-gallon hat, Roy doesn’t know what a horse is – or a saddle! But when he gets a saddle for his birthday, it comes with two instructions: 1) Find a horse and 2) Enjoy the ride. Armed with helpful hints, Roy sets out with a simple question for everyone he meets, “Are you a horse?†He asks a rusty wagon, a snake, crab, chameleon, owl, pig, sloth, lion and zebra, and each helps Roy determine the characteristics of a horse. When he eventually comes upon a horse, the story takes a surprising and hilarious turn. This zany adventure includes comic illustrations and an important lesson in deductive reasoning.
