Synopsis: Part of the exciting Wild Asia series as seen on Discovery HD, The Arid Heart is the story of life in Asia's dry grasslands of the Mongolian steppe, the stony Gobi Desert, and the sandy deserts of India. These are places of extremes, where summers are intensely hot and winters are bitterly cold. The animals that live here are tough and resilient--they not only survive, but thrive. Explore the worlds of Przewalski's horses, the only true wild horses in the world; the demoiselle cranes' journey from India across the stony Gobi desert; wild Bactrian camels, who are superbly adapted to the desert; and hairy footed jerboa, who escape the heat of the day by only coming out at night.
