Seductive, mysterious and surprisingly funny, director Eloy de la Iglesia's entertaining Bulgarian Lovers weaves a tale of a tangled love between a middle-aged Spanish gay man, a hunky Bulgarian guy and his fiancée back home. Daniel s a wealthy Madrid attorney whose ordered life is thrown into a tailspin when he meets Bulgarian refugee Kyril, a muscular beauty with a charming smile and a covert life. It's lust at first sight as Daniel quickly invites Kyril into his bedroom and gets pulled deep into his shady business dealings. Bulgarian Lovers is a comic thriller featuring the Bulgarian mob, bundles of money and a chunk of uranium.
