Shy, artistic Cat is secretly in love with Melissa, her rocker girl roommate. But when she meets Dakota, a disturbed, unbalanced heiress with a past, the three are taken on an emotional roller coaster of unrequited love, jealousy and deceit. When Lenny, an unemployed actor, has a steamy, one-night encounter with Dakota he, too, is thrown into the mix of this moving tale of self-discovery.
