Synopsis: The story centers around a torrid love affair that is destined for destruction from the start. Madame Leroy (Sylvia Kristel) is young, beautiful and happily married until she meets Charles De LaPalmmes (Jon Finch), a professional killer, cheat and seducer. Countess Flora De Saint Gilles (Nathalie Delon), Charles' lover, lives a free and independent life of luxury, parties and orgies in Parisian society. She wages Charles that he cannot seduce the beautiful Madame Leroy. He accepts and sets out on his game of seduction... only to meet his match in a most unusual and unsuspecting way.
