Michael Palin: Hemingway Adventure with Great Railway Journeys

Synopsis: Depressive, disaster-prone, alcoholic and much married, Hemingway is viewed through the various locations he visited and wrote about in his novels. Comparing modern-day locations with rare archive footage featuring Hemingway, Palin follows him through Cuba, Spain, Kenya, and many other places. Great Railway Journeys Michael Palin's first filmed travel adventure in 1980 was part of the BBC series Great Railroad Journeys. In it he traveled the length of Britain by train covering 785 miles. In 1994, Palin filmed a second railway journey for the series which took him from Londonderry to the western top of Ireland.
