Synopsis: When the impetuous Ellie is placed in charge of a retirement home over Christmas, she is left to care for four residents with no family and no place to go for the holidays. This surfy group of seniors, a jaded screen beauty, two spinster sisters, and a reformed alcoholic High Court judge, are rude and objectionable, a cantankerous quartet wailing against the world around them. The inexperienced Ellie is soon pushed to her limits, but through compassion, understanding and a few antics of her own, she manages to touch the lives of her residents in delightfully unexpected ways.
