Synopsis: Thanks in part to the success of Al Gore's AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, global warming is a hot issue in scientific discussion. But this documentary focuses on another important matter: global dimming. Over the last several decades, the amount of sunlight arriving at the earth's surface has actually decreased. NOVA's DIMMING THE SUN explores the effects of global dimming and its relationship to pollution and global warming.
