Synopsis: A meteor carrying a virulent disease threatens annihilation when it lands outside a small Californian community. Just after midnight, local rancher named Larry Jenkins discovers the meteor and calls the police. The tension mounts as Inspector Bardo arrives at the desolate scene, where Jenkins, who has been infected by the alien organism, savagely attacks the officer. Both men head towards Lawton, terrorizing and contaminating everyone they encounter.
