Synopsis: A shadowy gang known as the Black Aces is terrorizing the frontier town of Sweetwater, threatening to murder those who don't pay protection money. Their calling card is an ace of spades delivered to their victims through the mail. Hard luck rancher Ted Ames has been jilted by his fianc�, and has just lost his land and his horse to businessman Len Stoddard in a game of poker. As if things couldn't get any worse for the easygoing Ames, Stoddard's agent is killed while taking possession of his property, making Ted the prime suspect.
