Synopsis: John Mason (Wayne) has a half-interest claim in an abandoned mine, prim Janet (Sheila Terry) has the other half, and a band of varmints have an interest in claiming it all. The mine runs deep. Its mysteries run deeper - with messages from The Phantom and a dark house filled with secret passages. Blue Washington, in one of the few credited appearances of his long career, plays Wayne's able yet superstitious sidekick.
