Synopsis: Rosita Amado is an awkward, shy, and somewhat homely girl from the remote Mexican village of Xochilcacahuatel. Her late grandfather, Juan Amado "the Chocolate King," has willed to her his secret Mayan recipe, which she takes to Florida, along with her great-aunt Dulce, her uncle Diosdado and an assortment of other uncouth relatives, in order to fulfill her grandfather's final wish. She soon falls madly in love with handsome chocolatier Bruce Remington, heir to the Chocolate Supremo fortune. His unscrupulous mother - and Grandpa Juan's stepdaughter - Grace Remington is after Rosita's secret recipe, and she forms an unholy alliance with Bruce's lover, Samantha Porter. Though Bruce eventually falls in love with Rosita, his mother is determined to destroy her.
