Bob Berg Quartet: The Geneva Concert
In the summer of 1994, the legendary New Morning club rose from its ashes in Geneva for the duration of a memorable Jazz and Blues for TV Festival. Among the heavyweights in the blockbuster line-up was Bob Berg. No one who heard him there has forgotten the white-hot saxophone, the intensity, and the rough lyricism of this very scorsesean former Manhattan taxi driver. For once, the public and the critics were unanimous. Backed superbly by Alvin Queen, Niels Lan Doky and Pierre Boussaguet, Bob gave one of his best concerts ever. To the many thousands admirers of this human meteor too soon departed, we are proud to present a unique moment of jazz at its best!
