Synopsis: Ironic, futuristic war epic about picture-perfect soldiers battling ferocious army of interstellar insects. Despite some lame moments of 90210-esque romance, the jaw-dropping effects, rampant combat, and nonstop second half will floor sci-fi fans. Social satire fans will also enjoy Verhoeven's sly tweaking of militarism.
