This DVD of the popular BBC television series, The Office, is a collection of 6 episodes from the first season, plus an additional DVD of extras. If you've not seen this series, it is a must see. Filmed as a BBC documentary of a typical office, the politically incorrect humor of Ricky Gervais, who plays office boss David Brent, is pure genius. However, having claimed Gervais' humor as genius, I should warn you it's not humor for everyone. Even though this series is in English, be sure to turn on Subtitles to understand the entire dialog due to the thick British accent.
Recently (March 24, 2005), NBC aired their own Americanized version of The Office.
If you've seen any of NBC's episodes, and this your only experience with the series, don't let it sway you from trying the BBC version. NBC's series lacks the genius and the snap of their British cousins, and I predict it will not make it to the end of the season.
