Brewster's Millions
After receiving his military discharge, Monty Brewster learns that his deceased uncle has left him $8 million -- with the odd stipulation that he must spend $1 million of it before noon of his 30th birthday. With two months before the day, Monty, who must also remain single and keep the terms secret, mystifies and then angers his fiancée, Peggy, by postponing their wedding before discovering just how difficult it can be to spend a million dollars.
