After a wild night on the town, a dashing British airline pilot is attacked and beaten by thugs. He awakens in a hospital to find himself being cared for by the beautiful doctor, Emy Wong. The two grow close and begin an affair, though Emy has been promised to another man through an arranged marriage. A jealous female friend causes the two lovers to separate, leaving Emy alone. Dishonored, and abandoned, she falls into a desperate life of prostitution.
