A hidden gem. This wonderful film truly is one of the best I've ever seen. Not just the story, but the acting. David Gordon Green managed to find 5 child actors who had never worked on a film before, and managed to direct them wonderful. He pushed them to the full extent of their abilities allowing them to release the emotion that was needed for all their roles. This film is chilling, not in the scary sense, but the sense that David Gordon Green wrote everything down to the most minute detail to make sure this film was as "human" as possible. I lost myself in the film, I didn't realize until the credits started to roll, that these characters weren't real, but the acting was so powerful I thought it was real life. This is on my top ten high reccomendations. I hope anyone who see this film onn any shelf, pulls it off and checks it out. You won't be sorry.
